Regional Configuration Involving China

Regional cooperation is one of interesting phenomena IR scholars have discovered in this last decade. Based on my own research, China belongs to the most active countries in configuring regional cooperation. The latest development come up from Yekaterinburg. Besides actively involving in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which consists of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, China is now taking important role in colaborating cooperation between four emerging world powers with Brazil, Russia, and India. China’s strategy is clear: being global player by embracing others through cooperation, both regionally or bilaterally.

In that mission, China is also involving in East Asia Summit (EAS), covering 16 countries, namely 10 ASEAN member countries, Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea, while strengthening its position in ASEAN plus Three mechanism. This is “China’s containment,” or, refering to what Prof. Kishore Mahbubani of Singapore said, China’s pre-emptive strike.

China’s product just the same with the Chinese people it self…they’re everywhere…*(in positive meaning loh ya!! ^_^ )
may be, China can be dangerous for other countries,but in my opinion, we can learn many things from this country..how they can grow up fast, while the others suffer from economic crisis..it’s like a miracle for me..hehehe..lebay!
and in this case, I just can’t stop thinking how they can be that agressive for joining with those cooperation forums..is that for political reason, economical reason, or what??! n how about the US see this phenomena??? does it affect for US foreign policy to China?? any idea mas???

China’s global strategy is becoming global power. It is clear. The point is, how China will realize it? Regional configurations China has involved in prove its peaceful strategy for any reasons, whether politics or economy. Yet, it is not only benefitial for China but also for other countries, including Indonesia, where China’s cooperation offers are often less of conditions (compare it with US or Japan for example).
